He additionally honored Michele Reiner, noting: "Asserting that they were a incredible duo would be an understatement. My heart still hurts every time I remember you." He ended with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."
Martin Scorsese Remembers a Fellow Artist
In a separate essay, legendary director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.
"From the start, I loved being with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese wrote.
Scorsese mentioned Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the main character.
"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a expert at comedy, he worked beautifully with the cast, and he understood the human predicament of his character," Scorsese wrote.

This week, a Los Angeles court official decided to prevent the disclosure of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, following a petition from the Los Angeles Police Department.
A court order put a security hold on the cases to prohibit the public release of "related notes, evidence and photographs" pertaining to the probe.
The relevant authority had earlier stated their deaths were the consequence of murder, with a record noting the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Former President Donald Trump commented on the matter, offering controversial claims that were broadly criticized by numerous individuals.
Podcaster Joe Rogan added his criticism to the critics last week. Talking on his program, Rogan labeled the comments as "shocking" and remarked they showed a troubling deficiency of sympathy.
Rogan concluded by remarking that an associate should have acted when the choice to speak on the death was made.
